We couldn’t be more excited by the news that the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion Festival has added Jeff Tweedy to the line-up for Sat. 9/20/14 – same day The Successful Failures are playing.  Can’t wait!  Uncle Tupelo and then Wilco, especially Tweedy’s songwriting and singing, have been a great inspiration to us throughout the years.  What an honor! 

This Saturday, May 17th Mick Chorba will perform solo acoustic at 12 noon at the Bordentown Street Fair in front of the excellent Bordentown Guitar Rescue store on Farnsworth Ave. in historic Bordentown, NJ.  Bring your loose change – the guitar case will be open. Friday June 20th 9:00 pm.  The Successful Failures return to Philadelphia (last Philly show was in December ’13 at Johnny Brendas) for a special full-band-electric show with good friends The Silence Kit at the Bourbon and Branch in Northern Liberties.    

SF has been invited back to play the 2014 Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion Festival in Bristol, TN/VA on September 19-21.  The headlining act is Emmylou Harris!!!  SF is excited to return to the home of country music for this awesome rock, roots, and country music celebration.  Looks like we’ll be playing 2 sets on Saturday, 9/20/14 – more info t/b/a when the full schedule is revealed.  See you there!

SF will play a special set this year at The Record Collector in Bordentown, NJ to celebrate Record Store Day.   Saturday, April 19th, SF on at 1:00.

As we wrap up the mixing of our new album (to be released Sept. 2014) we’ve scheduled a series of acoustic shows.  Acoustic shows meaning an eclectic mix of covers and sf songs with mandolins, harmonicas, and latin percussion…. still sounds like rock n roll to me.  Really good stuff.  Here’s the upcoming schedule (more to follow): Saturday, April 12th – return visit to The Parlour – NYC, Upper West Side,  9:00 pm Friday, April 25th – local show at hometown hangout The Chesterfield Inn, 8:30 pm Saturday, May 3rd  – Lucky’s Tavern, Pine Hill, NJ, 9:00
