- The NJ indie rock band, The Successful Failures, spent most of 2011 recording their 4th full length album and follow up to 2010's well received "Three Nights" (new album to be released in March 2012). This breezy non-album track, "The Voice of Joe Strummer" was recorded during these sessions. The band pays tribute here to one of the great voices of rock, a talented song-writer, and an inspirational figure: Mr. Joe Strummer. The timing of the single coincides well with The Successful Failures' appearance at a tribute show in Philadelphia on December 22nd at the North Star Bar where a special night is being held in honor of Strummer. All proceeds from the evening will benefit his charity, Strummerville.
